About True Count Cards

I grew up collecting cards in the 80s and 90s, back when the hobby was all about ripping packs, trading with friends, chasing your favorite players, and filling binders with anything that felt cool. Like a lot of collectors, I eventually got older, life got busy, and the hobby slowly got away from me.

Then my kids brought me back.

Last year, they started showing interest in collecting, and it reminded me why I loved cards in the first place. At the beginning of 2026, our family really started collecting again. Now my kids, my wife, and I are all involved in the hobby together, opening packs, sorting cards, talking about players, building collections, and enjoying the chase.

That is what True Count Cards is built around.

I’m not a big corporate seller. I’m just an average collector who found his way back into the hobby through his family. I know what it feels like to find a card you love, chase a rookie, build a team collection, debate whether something is worth grading, or just enjoy the excitement of seeing what comes out of a pack.

My goal is to run True Count Cards the way I would want to buy from someone else: honest listings, clear photos, fair descriptions, secure packaging, and a real respect for the hobby.
